Oceans 5 Group had a current website and hired o5Media to redesign their website.
Although they currently had some lead generation tools, they were highly invasive to the end user and though traffic
analysis we found that potential clients were actaully leaving the site due to the invasive lead generation tools. Causing the tools to work in the exact opposite manner in which they were indented.
Though much consideration to the best possible way to keep lead generation easy and effective we implemented a custom system for lead generation.
The biggest issue was the lengthly registeration form the user would have to fill out to search the site. We found 2 things
- The registration form needs to be as quick and simple as possible
- Users will convert better if they get to preform the search and see actual property reults, then have to register to view more information on the property.
So to accomplish this we allow the user to first preform a search on the website, see all results in list, and then when user clicks to view more information on a property they are presented with a quick & simple form for their first/last name, an email, 4 digit pin.
Why a 4 digit pin? We found this to be the most effective. Many sites have a “password” field (that have rules like must contain 1 number, can’t start with a number, must be between 8 – 16 characters, must have upper and lowecase, no forign (!@#$^%&) characters) and we found through studies that when people feel like they are registering with a password they feel as though it is a hassel, but when they have to choose a 4 digit pin they respond in a more positive manner.
Through these changes we took oceans5group from a 20% visitor – to – site memeber conversion of total traffic to 73%. This is over a 350% incerase.
